Hi everyone. I am new to blogging so I will start by saying I teach grades 6-8 health in Massachusetts. This blog will concentrate on 6th grade Health.
This past week we covered the respiratory system and will move on to Tobacco next week. I like to teach the body system that relates to the nest topic so that students understand the effects on the body. It was fun to watch students advance from the first day naming the parts of the respiratory system such as pharynx, larynx, epiglottis and alveoli and by the end of the week understanding their function and how to correctly pronounce them all:)
I will let you know what the students think of the tobacco unit next week.
